Our Celebration Day 2018

Blessing, Assembly and Hangi

What a fantastic way to end our term.  We have been learning about our new names and spaces.  To share our learning, we had a celebration day where we invited guests and all contributed to the day.  The rain and hail came down on us but the day it was still a day of being together and sharing.  We all felt very blessed to be surrounded by such great people.

Our Collaborative Whakatauki Art

Collaborative Whakatauki Art

Earlier in the term we started working on a collaborative art work.  This is now displayed in Te Ara Takitini because the whakatauki is relevant for us.  All of Te Rōpū Whakamanawa contributed to this art in some way.
Our next step is to work out ways to make the overall appearance more cohesive.  We also need to make sure we are doing our individual best for the benefit of the whole group.

Collaborative Art

Whakatauki

This term we have been learning about our new names and what they mean.  We have been working on our collaboration and coming together as a team.  We have been using this whakatauki to help us on our way.
Recently, we created this collaborative artwork to celebrate our strength together.

We still need to do some final touches and put this on our wall so will share this when it is up and on display.

Kiwi Can 2018

Kiwi Can 2018

Our learning in Kiwi Can for term one is now over.  We have been looking at respect and how we can show respect in class, our wider school and our community.
Term Two will have a focus on Positive Relationships.  We will focus on having a positive attitude.

Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu

Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu

We were a little bit slow in starting this year but we have finally got organised and have been viewing and commenting on the blogs of our Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu partners.  Our partner classes are Waitemata at Waikowhai School and Room 2 from Blaketown School.
The purpose of Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu is to give students the opportunity to view blogs from around the country and to have feedback and comments from other people on their own blogs.
Here are a few of our recent comments.
Zoey includes all of the parts needed for a quality comment.
Here are a range of comments posted by Te Rōpū Whakamanawa students.
